Dan Johnson’s debut novel, The Detroit Electric Scheme, was published in September 2010 by St. Martin’s Minotaur press. The sequel, Motor City Shakedown, will be published in September 2011.

Mr. Johnson spent his childhood in Kalamazoo, Michigan, graduated from Central Michigan University, and then spent many years in business in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before returning to the Kalamazoo area and starting his career in writing.

The Detroit Electric Scheme was awarded a 2011 Michigan Notable Book Award by the Library of Michigan. It has been chosen by the Grand Rapids Public Library for its “GR Reads” 2011 summer reading program.
